Lean Six Sigma Black Belt candidates for certification must submit two projects demonstrating their ability to use Lean Six Sigma tools to deliver process improvements. The project must demonstrate how Lean Six Sigma approach and tools contributed to the solution. There must be a cost benefit analysis showing a minimum benefit of $10,000 for each project. Note the low benefit figure reflects the fact that Lean Six Sigma can be used in smaller organisations where the opportunity to deliver the bigger values projects do not exist. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification qualifies as part of your professional development for the IIBA CBAP.

Real contributions to the organisation

The projects must make a real contribution to your organisation. Classroom exercises or projects on theoretical problems are not acceptable. You will be required to have sign off on the project from your Supervisor. Your Supervisor will confirm the contribution and cost saving made to your organisation.

Project review

Your project will be reviewed for its approach and evidence of the use of Lean Six Sigma tools. We will not review specifics, for example, we will not confirm or otherwise validate the finding of the project. Your Supervisor will confirm the success of your project when signing off on the project.

IIBA alignment

As part of your course, you will be supplied with the IIBA BOK. Your project must be compatible with guidelines supplied in the IIBA book of knowledge.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is equivalent to 6 Professional Development Hours for certification as Certified Business Analysis Professional™

Resubmitting project

Please contact LeanSixSigmaTraining.com before applying for certification to discuss your project. Project proposals can be emailed to info@leansixsigmatraining.com . Where the project does not meet the criteria outlined above, it can be improved and resubmitted for reappraisal. A resubmission fee applies. Resubmission fee: $200
